Brush Item Notice
For Brush Pickup:
Heavy Brush (tree and shrub limbs and trimmings) and yard waste (grass clippings, weeds, leaves, mulch, small trees, and shrub limbs), which is not mixed up with construction/demolition material, will be picked up by Public Works during your next scheduled brush pickup time. See below for zone and schedule.
Prohibited items during brush pickup: include construction/demolition material, bulky items (indoor and outdoor furniture, mattresses and box springs, rugs up to 4×6 feet in size, swing sets, plastic swimming pools, large toys, bicycles, fish aquariums, and large household appliances), and clean wood waste.
Bulky item Notice
For Bulky Pickup:
Bulky items and clean wood waste, not mixed with other construction/demolition material, will be collected at the scheduled bulky pickup time. No other litter, garbage, refuse, construction/ demolition material, trash, heavy brush, or yard waste may be co-mingled with the bulky items and clean wood waste set out for collection.
Pursuant to Article 6.07 Solid Waste Code of Ordinances, if you would like to deposit heavy brush or yard waste outside of your scheduled time, you may apply for a $15.00 brush permit with the Public Works Department to dispose at the Public Works Yard (700 N. Upshaw) on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s.
One permit per residence per month.
A fine of $250.00 will be added to your utility bill if brush or bulky items are placed during a period not designated for setting out these items.
