David Martinez was elected Mayor of Robstown in December 2023. A proud native son of the city, he was born and raised in Robstown and is deeply honored to serve the community that shaped him.
Mayor Martinez has long been an active and dedicated member of the local community. Prior to his election, he served for three years as Commissioner for Nueces County Drainage District #2. His professional career spans over three decades at the Port of Corpus Christi, where he served with distinction as Senior Vessel Traffic Controller until his retirement in April 2022.
Bringing a deep sense of pride and purpose to his role as Mayor, he has focused his administration on advancing key priorities such as economic development, public safety, infrastructure improvements, and enhancing the city’s role in public health. Mayor Martinez is committed to ushering in a new era of growth and opportunity for Robstown.
He credits his wife, Priscilla, their family, and their shared faith as the foundation of his continued service and dedication. Outside of his official duties, Mayor Martinez values spending quality time with his family and remains actively engaged with the residents of Robstown, staying closely connected to the people he proudly represents.
