Job Description:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the intake, recording, filing, storage, security, maintenance, research, release, audit, disposal, destruction and safekeeping of all property and evidence in the care of the Robstown Police Department. Position performs other related duties as required, which may include working closely with investigators on all evidence-related cases and functions.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Graduation from a high school, or GED.
  • Minimum of one-year experience in warehousing, inventory control or an appropriately related field, preferably in a law enforcement and/or high security environment
  • Possession of a valid Texas driver’s license

Job Title:        Communications Dispatcher

Job Description:

Under direct supervision, this employee receives requests for emergency services, dispatches publications equipment, prepares reports, and maintains files.  This employee must be available to work any shift, holiday and weekends as needed for scheduling purposes and performs other assigned duties as required.  Answer multi-line telephones including 9-1-1 lines, communicate with hearing/speech impaired citizens, communicate effectively, courteously, and clearly, responding promptly, hearing in the normal range, to protect the safety of officers and the public, simultaneously listen and comprehend both telephone and radio traffic, assist and record requests for emergency services from the public and departmental personnel and in person, comprehend and apply City ordinances, polices and procedures, document all activity, good knowledge to operate CAD, and operate computer terminals, work in a confined area for 8+ hours and remain seated for long periods of time, operate multi-channel public safety radio system.

Minimum Qualifications: 

H.S. Diploma/GED/TX DL/Type 45 wpm. Prefer bilingual and experience with computer Aided Dispatch and answering multi-line telephones.

Duties involve all swimming pool operations, including first aid, rotations, scheduling for staff, public relations, janitorial duties, limited pool maintenance including daily chemical analysis/testing, pool cleaning, cleaning of bathrooms & concession stand area, and all other duties as necessary or required. This employee should have excellent organizational, communication, and public relation skills. This is a seasonal working supervisory position requiring weekend and holiday work.
