Heavy Brush and Yard Waste Schedule
Heavy Brush (tree and shrub limbs and trimmings) and yard waste (grass clippings, weeds, leaves, mulch, small trees, and shrub limbs), which is not mixed up with construction/demolition material, will be picked up by Public Works during your next scheduled pickup time. See below for Zones and pickup times.
Prohibited items include construction/demolition material and bulky items such as indoor and outdoor furniture, mattresses and box springs, rugs up to 4×6 feet in size, swing sets, plastic swimming pools, large toys, bicycles, fish aquariums, and large household appliances and clean wood waste.
The city will announce special collection events for bulky items on its website and Facebook page.
A fine of $250.00 will be added to your utility bill if heavy brush and yard waste are placed outside of your scheduled time or if prohibited items are put out.
Pursuant to Article 6.07 Solid Waste Code of Ordinances, if you would like to deposit heavy brush or yard waste outside of your scheduled time, you may apply for a $15.00 permit with the Public Works Department to dispose at the Public Works Yard (700 N. Upshaw) on Wednesday’s and Friday’s. One permit per residence per month.
As always you may take your brush, construction material, and bulky items to El Centro Landfill, (361) 698-5000, located 3189 Cty Rd. 69, Robstown, Texas 78380.

If you see anyone dumping illegally or on vacant lots, please report it as soon as possible to the Police Department at (361) 387-3531 or to the Code Enforcement Office at 361-387-4589 Option 3, Monday thru Friday (8am-5pm).
